In October, 2021 the Center for Public Deliberation and the City of Fort Collins partnered to provide residents an opportunity to discuss and learn about various land use code issues throughout the city. We designed a three-event series that focused on different neighborhood types and the land use regulations that could impact housing capacity, choice, and affordability. During the events, residents were able to talk with other community members about their experiences with housing and work together to discuss potential next steps for land use code updates in Fort Collins. All events were on Zoom. Attendees at these events were offered a $40 King Soopers Gift Card for their attendance.

Dates and event topics were:

Saturday, October 23rd from 11:00am-1:00pm: Suburban Neighborhoods (primarily single-household, detached homes)

Monday, October 25th from 6:00pm-8:00pm: Neighborhoods with a Mix of Housing Types (neighborhoods with apartments, duplexes, etc)

Wednesday, October 27th from 6:00-8:00pm: Mixed-Use Neighborhoods (neighborhoods that include housing as well as retail/business space)
