If you’ve already worked as a Community Guide, Plan Ambassador, or Community Partner with the City of Fort Collins or the Center for Public Deliberation, please get in touch with Sabrina Slagowski-Tipton to learn about how you can enroll in the Home2Health Community Guide program
Welcome, Community Guides! We are excited to continue this process with you. The Center for Public Deliberation has created a training website to equip you with the tools you will need to complete your new conversations.
On each page of this training module, there will be videos from various partners in the Home2Health process: City Officials, Colorado State University Professors, Current Community Guides, and, of course, folks from the Center for Public Deliberation.
Some videos will have an additional activity component. Links will be provided in each module to allow you to complete all required components.
The trainings are broken into two sections. The first introduces you to the engagement plan and your role in it. The second offers facilitation and engagement training designed to help you connect with your community and host your conversations. Please complete the first five Introduction modules and then complete the Advanced modules that will be the most helpful for you.
Before you dive into the video training modules, please read through the information contained in the following documents:
After you read through those resources, click here to begin your trainings. A list of all trainings in English and Spanish is also available on the left sidebar.
Once you’ve completed these trainings and before you begin to host your own conversations, we’ll ask you to participate in an interview with a CPD associate. When you’re ready for your interview, please email Sabrina at Sabrina.Slagowski-Tipton@colostate.edu to schedule your interview.
